On May 4th, we celebrated Ann Clark and the impact her leadership has had on the ground-breaking work Circle de Luz does to empower young Latinas to build resilience, dream of new possibilities, and pursue post-secondary education. Upward mobility has become an important focus in Charlotte and the approach used by Circle de Luz is rooted in the idea that everyone deserves access to a brighter future. The programming we offer ensures that the girls we begin working with in 7th grade have the interpersonal, academic, and life skills that will help them find success after high school and, after six years in our program, they truly value the doors that education and relationships can open.
We are so grateful to those of you who attended the event and have helped us get halfway to our fundraising goal of $30,000! We know May is a very busy time of year, and we missed connecting with those of you who were not able to attend. Many of you asked about how you could support us. You can begin by watching this short video featuring clips of our speakers from our event.
And you can join in the tidal wave of support for young Latinas and an organization that is bolstering the call for increasing upward mobility for an under-resourced population through dynamic mentoring and holistic programming.
Please DONATE here, designate “general fund” and in the comment box, please note “May 4 event.”
We look forward to seeing you at a future event and continuing to share our story with you.
